Already known as one of West Michigan’s top tourist designations, Holland is now building a new reputation as a top tier spot for small business growth in America. The claim comes as Holland touts accolades like the “Best Small City to Start a Business” by WalletHub, a recognition that’s getting attention from franchises.
National franchises are honing in on expansion in the Holland area, and are now searching for strong, qualified franchisees ready to take the next step into owning their business. Chief among them is Miracle Method, a nationally recognized refinishing company looking to expand its reach in Michigan.
Miracle Method has over 140 locations throughout the U.S., but only one in Michigan, which is in the Detroit area.
The Colorado Springs, Colo.-based, company is “desperately looking for a franchisee” in the Holland market, said John Tubiolo, vice president of franchise and sales development. Holland’s older buildings make it an ideal market for Miracle Method, which serves commercial and residential customers from schools and colleges to senior living to hospitals, Tubiolo said.
Holland has been named one of “America’s Prettiest Towns” by Forbes Magazine, No. 2 Happiest, Healthiest Place to Live in America by Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, One of America’s Dozen Distinctive Destinations by National Trust for Historic Preservation, an “All America City” by National Civic League, one of the “Top Five Best Places to Retire” by Money Magazine, one of the “Top Ten Cities” by Nest Egg Index, A.G. Edwards, one of the “Top Five Safest Cities in the U.S.” by Forbes Magazine, No. 2 in “19 Most Beautiful Small Towns in America” by Impulcity, No. 3 in “Top Ten Best Places for Families” by Livability and “Tree City USA” by National Arbor Day Foundation, according to the Holland Visitors Bureau.
