From organic integrity to high quality standards, Whole Food Markets embrace all-natural food products to support a healthier lifestyle for its customers. With over 450 locations, Whole Foods has successfully created an elevated shopping experience far beyond the traditional supermarket. Aside from being America’s healthiest grocery store, the brand is considered one of the most innovative food retailers in the market today.
In contrast to their high standards, certain areas of the market exposed to heavy wear like conditions were falling behind in terms of appearance. Tile surfaces in the seafood department of Whole Foods of Tamarac, Colorado had become dirty, damaged and dated. Ceramic tile is difficult to maintain and keep clean under any circumstance and especially so in high-use commercial kitchens. Traditional replacement was considered, but would have presented a significant inconvenience to the staff and overall operation, contributing to poor customer service and possible loss in seafood sales. None of this seemed like an acceptable option for remodeling. In search of a practical solution, Louis Karp, Store Manager of Whole Foods of Tamarac turned to Miracle Method in Denver.
Miracle Method’s unique refinishing process was the only alternative that minimized department downtime, improved functionality and achieved a look consistent with the brand’s upscale image. Refinishing is a proven process that is applied to existing ceramic tile and grout, which creates a non-porous, permanently sealed surface that inhibits the growth of mold and mildew. Since 1979, the Miracle Method process has been refined to perfection.
In order to avoid any disruption to customers and return the seafood department back to service each morning, Miracle Method technicians performed all work after business hours. Beyond the beautiful transformation, Miracle Method’s refinishing process allowed Whole Foods of Tamarac to eliminate downtime and significantly reduce the cost, mess and hassle of installing new tile.
Karp said, “From the moment I made the phone call to Miracle Method, they were incredibly responsive. Communication was excellent as they mapped out the entire refinishing process. Miracle Method was a joy to work with and I am extremely pleased with the beautiful result as well as their reliable and efficient project management.”
Due to the success of the project, Karp plans to have Miracle Method refinish additional areas in the bakery and meat departments and continues to recommend Miracle Method to other store managers throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.
Recommendations like Karp’s are not foreign to Don Dominick, VP of National Accounts at Miracle Method’s corporate headquarters. “Referrals like the one of Mr. Karp have contributed to the growth of the commercial division of our business. Whether in the grocery, food-service, hospital, hotel, higher education or residential industries, our team is committed to providing high quality, efficient, and cost effective alternatives compared to conventional replacement” said Dominick.
Chuck Pistor, President of Miracle Method says, “The growing demand for refinishing, combined with our proven business model, unparalleled training programs, support systems, and a strong National Accounts team contributes to the success of our franchisees.”
Pistor says that the brand is looking to add 15-20 new franchises in select markets throughout the country. “Whether you are looking to have bathtubs, countertops, ceramic tile or floors repaired and refinished or perhaps interested a franchise opportunity with growing demand, we are happy to talk” says Pistor.
