Miracle Method – The Solution for Leaking Hotel Bathtub Liners

Take our work at the Milwaukee Hilton Hotel for example. Many of the hotel’s bathtubs were worn-out and discolored after many years of use. Bathtub liners were originally installed in 500 units in the facility, but within two years, water had seeped through between the tubs and liners in many of the units, creating a squishy feeling when guests stepped on them. The trapped water was also becoming stagnant and causing foul odors. Additionally, the liners that had been installed were no longer glossy in appearance.

The hotel had two options – tear out the liners and replace the tubs altogether, a costly solution that would disrupt the hotel’s daily operations; or remove the liners and restore the original tubs through refinishing.

After comparing the options, the decision was made to have Miracle Method remove the 500 liners and restore the original tubs, which included repairing the subsequent chips, cracks, and scratches. We followed this with a thorough cleaning, disinfecting, repairing, and bonding process before applying the new finish. We also applied a Slip Resistant Surface to reduce slip and fall liability. The project was completed in two phases to accommodate the hotel’s schedule.

Our work at the Milwaukee Hilton Hotel was completed on time and on budget, and the hotel’s bathrooms looked and felt like new again!

Miracle Method Opens its First Canadian Franchise

We are excited to announce the opening of Miracle Method’s first Canadian franchise in London, Ontario. For sometime now, Miracle Method has been the largest surface refinishing franchise in the United States, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to expand into new territory.

Chuck Pistor, Miracle Method President, has awarded our first Canadian franchise to Rick Frank, a native of London, Ontario and a former Vice President of Operations with G.N. Johnston Equipment. While Miracle Method has been approached previously about opening a Canadian franchise, the prospects lacked the funding, experience, and management background needed to run a successful franchise. Pistor noted that “Rick has a wealth of management experience, the proper resources and an operations background that makes him the ideal owner to introduce Miracle Method’s proprietary surface refinishing process to Canada.”

There are plenty of other factors working in Frank’s favor for establishing and maintaining a very successful franchise. These include Miracle Method’s growth during the recent economic downturn – over 80% of our offices experienced increases in 2011 over 2010, with record sales in 2011. The London, Ontario market has traditionally been a test market for U.S. franchises in Canada, and with a great mix of residential and commercial properties, Frank has the opportunity to build his business at an above-average pace.
