Take our work at the Milwaukee Hilton Hotel for example. Many of the hotel’s bathtubs were worn-out and discolored after many years of use. Bathtub liners were originally installed in 500 units in the facility, but within two years, water had seeped through between the tubs and liners in many of the units, creating a squishy feeling when guests stepped on them. The trapped water was also becoming stagnant and causing foul odors. Additionally, the liners that had been installed were no longer glossy in appearance.
The hotel had two options – tear out the liners and replace the tubs altogether, a costly solution that would disrupt the hotel’s daily operations; or remove the liners and restore the original tubs through refinishing.
After comparing the options, the decision was made to have Miracle Method remove the 500 liners and restore the original tubs, which included repairing the subsequent chips, cracks, and scratches. We followed this with a thorough cleaning, disinfecting, repairing, and bonding process before applying the new finish. We also applied a Slip Resistant Surface to reduce slip and fall liability. The project was completed in two phases to accommodate the hotel’s schedule.
