We are excited to announce the opening of Miracle Method’s first Canadian franchise in London, Ontario. For sometime now, Miracle Method has been the largest surface refinishing franchise in the United States, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to expand into new territory.

Chuck Pistor, Miracle Method President, has awarded our first Canadian franchise to Rick Frank, a native of London, Ontario and a former Vice President of Operations with G.N. Johnston Equipment. While Miracle Method has been approached previously about opening a Canadian franchise, the prospects lacked the funding, experience, and management background needed to run a successful franchise. Pistor noted that “Rick has a wealth of management experience, the proper resources and an operations background that makes him the ideal owner to introduce Miracle Method’s proprietary surface refinishing process to Canada.”
There are plenty of other factors working in Frank’s favor for establishing and maintaining a very successful franchise. These include Miracle Method’s growth during the recent economic downturn – over 80% of our offices experienced increases in 2011 over 2010, with record sales in 2011. The London, Ontario market has traditionally been a test market for U.S. franchises in Canada, and with a great mix of residential and commercial properties, Frank has the opportunity to build his business at an above-average pace.
Miracle Method’s first Canadian franchise opened Canada Day weekend (July 1), with a shop and showroom at 90 Charterhouse Crescent, Unit 5, London, Ontario Canada N5W 5V5 (phone number: 226-270-1021). The franchise’s technicians have already been very busy refinishing bathtubs, tile and countertops for residents of London and the surrounding area, as well as refinishing 71 vanities and 41 bathtubs, applying Slip Resistant Surfaces to the tubs, for Extended Stay Hotel in nearby Vaughn, Ontario. Additionally, the franchise offers free in-home estimates and owner Rick Franks has been co-hosting The Home Show with Mike Stubbs of CJBK Radio 1290, taking listeners’ questions about surface refinishing.
